About The Budwig Center

We started our program after completing our visit and training with Dr. Johanna Budwig of Germany. Many people are familiar with the Dr. Johanna Budwig famous Flaxseed oil and cottage cheese diet formula.

The Budwig Center - Alternative Natural Cancer Clinic

The Budwig Center Wellness Course is taught in English, French, Spanish and Russian by our qualified staff.

Each patient will have their own independent fully equipped 2, 3 or 4 bedroom apartments right next to the clinic. You have Wifi access to Internet at the clinic and we have two portable dongle USB port if you absolutely need internet for work purposes to use in your room. Please bring your portable lap top computer so you can keep in touch with friends and family with email and Skype and also so we can offer you free downloads of EFT courses, massage courses, nutritional information and many comedy feature movies and TV series. It is very important to laugh a little each day.

Our Center is small enough to provide you with very personalized attention but sizable enough to offer you all the training and therapies you will need. We are associated with a Medical Clinic and all medical procedures are done under the direction of a medical doctor, Dr. Marie D. Lopez. Our staff which comprises of two Naturopathic doctors, Medical Doctor, Massage therapists, Certified Nutritionist, two registered nurses, teachers and emotional counsellors (we also are affiliated with an very well qualified biological dentist trained in the UK and two Medical Hospitals nearby) who will do all they can to make your visit to Budwig Center not only a pleasant but a "life changing" experience.

Right from day one you will notice something that many who have come remark on and that is the friendly and helpful atmosphere of our center.

Here is a list of helpful suggestions when planning to make your trip to our Cancer Center.

1. ARRIVE ON A WEEKDAY - Our program runs for 2 weeks and we try to begin on a Monday. Some arrive on Sunday because they can get a better connecting flight on that day. If so let us know so Julia in reception can meet your Taxi that brings you to the apartment and give you the key. We do not charge any extra for staying a day earlier or a day later however please give €20 Euros to Julia for working overtime. 2. WEATHER - From May to Oct the weather is usually nice a warm and sunny. From the middle of November to middle of March the weather can get down to 9 degrees at night 16 during the day and risk of rain. We have 325 days of sunshine but that still leaves 40 days of cloud and rain. Please bring rain equipment and proper clothing for the Nov to March period.

3. MEDICAL RECORDS AND MEDICAL ATTENTION: Appropriate PET, CT, MRI, bone scans, and x-ray imaging, recent blood test and if possible cancer tumor markers (not more than 3 months old) are very useful. Please bring copies for our files, so that we do not have to take time making copies when you arrive.

4. WEEKENDS - You have the weekend in between the 2 week program to visit Spain and enjoy the double decker tour buses, Picasso museum, the Port where cruise ships arrive and maybe take in a Flamenco dance show or just relax on the beautiful beach which is about a 15 minute walk from our clinic.

5. FOOD - Some of the basic foods are provided such as oat milk, honey, organic eggs, bread, cereal, nuts, rice, millet, baking soda, cleaning supplies, shampoo, towels, bedding,hydrogen peroxide, flaxseed oil, cottage cheese (Quark), flaxseed oil, however you will need to purchase fresh fruit and veg and other food items you prefer. There is a farmer's market and grocery store right next door. LIDL grocery store is close by and for organic foods shop at the nearby Corte Ingles.

6. APPLIANCES - Spain is 220volt, so laptop computers will work fine and we provide a plug in adaptor that will allow you to connect to the wall socket. Bring a lap top computer and you can connect to our Wifi at the clinic. However no need to bring hair dryers and irons, etc as they are provided along with shower gel, dish soap, hand soap and clothes washing soap.

7. ACCOMMODATIONS: Fully equipped 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments are provided for our patients. Each apartment has a double bed.

8. BRING A GUEST: We strongly encourage you to come with a family member or friend, unless you are strong enough to care for yourself. This person would be someone that could help you shop and prepare meals and provide support. The guest member who comes pays nothing at all. If you come with more than one other person, there is a €20 Euro daily charge for the extra use of water, electricity, etc.

9. REGISTRATION - Once you decide to come to our clinic please contact us and find out which dates are available and choose one that works for you. Email us your choice and confirmation and we will put you name in our 'calendar' for a temporary period of three (3) days to give you time to arrange the air flights, pay the €4,000 Euros down payment and complete the Registration form. Once the deposit is paid, please send us a copy of that and we will then guarantee your space in our clinic. It is very important that you complete these steps and not purchase any airline tickets, etc until you have confirmation from us that we have the space for you.

10. RETURN FLIGHT - Our program is a full 2 week program. As soon as your 2 weeks are up we will need to clean and prepare the apartment for the next people that usually arrive a day later. You need to arrange to depart which would be a Friday night or Saturday morning as we have other people that arrive for the following Monday. If you do want to stay longer and do some touring please check the apartment is available and if not you will need to book a hotel or make other arrangements. We can send you upon request several contacts for Holiday Rental apartments in the area.

11. MONEY: The only currency that is useful to bring are Euros. If you bring any other currency you will have to go to the bank and change it to Euros. It is not easy to change your currency into Euros when you come. The banks prefer to only change money with people that have an account with their bank. You are better to purchase Euros from your bank in your home country before coming. Also when you buy Euros before you come then you can pay the Taxi from the Airport and pick up food, etc upon arrival. Most people use a "money belt" when travelling with cash. Credit and Debit cards are accepted. Master Card and Visa are the two that work well. However do not bring Discovery, American Express cards, American Express Travellers cheques, Diners as they are NOT used in Spain.

12. REMEDIES - In most cases the Budwig Center will send you most of all the natural remedies such as TRICAN, etc included in our program before you come to the clinic. Please bring enough of these supplements to last for the entire trip and time in Spain. No one yet has had any problem with customs at the airport if you put the supplements in your stow away luggage. If questions were asked you would simply explain that this is for personal use and not for resale.

13. AIRPORT PICK or TAXI - Sorry No Airport Pick Up is provided. We have in the past arranged to pick up patients however there are so many flight delays nowadays and people arrive at all kinds of hours that its not easy to get our staff to work those hours. As we are so close to the airport for about €20 Euros you can catch a taxi to our Clinic. Julia will be on hand to let you into your apartment and help you get settled. You can contact Julia on her mobile/Cell phone which is +34 649 702 573, if you are calling with a cell phone from abroad you may have to put 011 before the number, 011 34 649 702 573.

As soon as you get through customs and have your luggage use your cell/mobile phone or a phone booth at the airport to call Julia to tell her you are now on your way. She will be right outside the apartment where you will be staying waiting for you to arrive in Taxi. If it is outside of clinical hours (clinic is open from 9AM to 2 and 4 to 7PM) then she will direct you over to your place of stay. You may find it useful to know that there is Malaga the City and Malaga the Province. Malaga City is in the Province of Malaga..sometimes this is confusing, like New York City in New York State. Our clinic is right in Malaga City .

NOTE: Our Cancer Center is a day-time clinic and we do not have our medical and regular staff working 24/7. Therefore we do not accept patients that are bedridden, very weak and in constant need of medical attention. It is always best to have someone from the family or a friend come with you for company and moral support, even if you are in general good condition as some find they are somewhat overwhelmed by the trip, all the new things they need to do, dealing with Spanish labelled products and the language outside the clinic, etc (The Budwig Center staff speaks, English, French, Spanish, Portugese and Russian)
